I’m overweight, my house is messy, I yell at my kids, I watch too much TV, spend too much time on the computer and too little time in the Bible. I don’t exercise enough, I let folded laundry sit in the basket for days, my kids play a lot of video games, I don’t stick to budgets, I pay bills late. I’ve lied, gossiped, cheated.
I’m imperfect!
I’m learning to embrace my imperfection but not settle for it. I know this side of Heaven, I will never be perfect. However I refuse to remain complacent in my imperfection and choose to press on to be the mom, wife, friend, woman, Christ follower God created me to be.
I invite you to press on together with me. I’ll share thoughts and stories from my journey and look forward to hearing about yours.

“Not that I already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12)
Becki,
I hear ‘ya my sister-in-Christ! You talka my language! I am a mom, just like you: over weight, loves TV, should be doing more, but I KNOW that one of the most difficult things there is to be is a mom! There is not enough emotional-spiritual support for moms, so we have to stick together, nurture each other and love each other: imperfect as we are!
I am so thrilled to see this! A number of years ago, we worshipped at the same church in phoenixville, Hope. We went out for coffee in town, you reached out and I was and continue to be ministered to by you and Jeff. We were given his “Higher” cd at one of our first visits. We were relocated shortly after, but I listen to the cd to the point of wearing it out! In fact, I have been trying to figure out how I can get a new one! Although, we now live far apart, and do not worship at the same church, the impact u have had on me is eternal. I thank u for that and am looking forward to seeing this blog! May God bless u and speak thru u!
